December 2nd, 2024/25 Weekly Update
Cayley Families,
As a reminder, our Christmas Concert is scheduled for Thursday December 12th at 6:00 pm (doors will be unlocked at 5:30 pm), and Mrs. Anderson and her team are working hard on preparing for this event. In addition, our upper school band students will be participating in the regional band winter concert over at Highwood High on Tuesday December 10th at 7pm. We hope to see everyone there!
Congratulations to our girls and boys triple ball teams on their successful seasons. Our girls were able to finish in 2nd place, losing an exciting match against Senator Riley in the finals. The boys had a strong third place showing as well last week. Congratulations to both teams on strong seasons.
Fundraising
Later this week, we will provide some information on a unique fundraiser that we are going to engage in; essentially, we are going to sell raffle tickets in which the prize is a pig, which has been processed in a licenced inspection facility and has been cut and wrapped into a variety of yummy cuts (bacon, ham, sausage etc.) that families can use. This will fill your freezer and provide a number of tasty meals! Tickets will be $20 and will be sold over the next few weeks; more info to come later this week.
Food Drive
We have the sleigh up at the front of your school, and would be most welcoming of your non-perishable food bank donations between now and Thursday December 12th; on Friday December 13th, we will ensure that these items are distributed to the Salvation Army and Cayley Helping Hands, and therefore will support families in need this Christmas!
